Boy howdy, folks, have I been busy lately! Between the end of the semester, defending my prospectus, and then traveling up North? Phew, I’m exhausted!

Before I left for Rhode Island, a conference at Yale, and then a quick visit to NYC, I photographed TJ & Ashley’s beautiful wedding.

And right when I got back, there was Jessica & Jeff’s stunning and sweet beach wedding.

Keep your eyes peeled for both of those weddings coming up over the next month.

Lately I’ve been doing some headshots. On the left we have Deb who wanted an updated headshot for her international job search. On the right we have Alea who needed a headshot for her SGA presidency at Bainbridge State College.

Next up is Nikki. Once upon this past fall, she was one of my photography students (and her son just finished my photo class this spring too). Things changed drastically this spring when her husband passed unexpectedly. It was especially difficult as she also worked to finish the semester. There were days and weeks when she had her doubts (though I never did), but she succeeded and graduated from Florida State University this May! I am tremendously proud of my friend’s accomplishments and her resilience! In one of these photos you’ll see  her holding a framed image of her and her husband – it was important to her to have him by her side for this event since he had supported her through her education and over half her life.

Last up for today we have Jana! She just turned 22 and had a Kate Spade themed birthday dinner (lucky gal!). We couldn’t resist taking a fun portrait and headshot of the lass to celebrate the event!

So forgive me for being tremendously busy, my dear friends. I hope these photos make up for it a little. Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to hop back to the dissertation process and work on putting together my summer art appreciation courses. 😀

Remember Carolyn & Skyler from their maternity photos? Well lookie what they made! I was lucky enough to visit all 3 of them in the hospital when he was a mere 36 hours old. And Finn’s Zanna let me snap a few photos of the two of them.

I visited everyone at home when wee little Finn was just 10 days old. His room has more owls in one place than I’ve ever seen! Happy! By the by, I think Baby Finn and His Owls would be a great band name. Maybe he’ll get to use dad’s fancy Gibson when he’s older! 🙂

I adore that we were able to incorporate that special item into his portraits. Speaking of special items, Grandma made both of his owl sleepers (with hats) AND that beautiful blue blanket. That poor blanket has already been taken everywhere and washed more times than I can count!

Welcome to the world, Finn! And thanks for letting me snuggle you!

Brrr, it’s getting a little chilly outside! A little while back, I met up with Josh & Kati & their wonderful daughter Penny! Can you believe how much PJ has grown since her newborn session? Goodness!

This time we opted for some family portraits and just PJ shots. By the by, that green tutu? It’s the same one that was too big for her a few months back. 😉

I adore this portrait of them in the woods! I think I need more woods in my life!

See you in a few months for your 6 month session, Penny! 😀

You may remember this pair from early in 2012! I shot their wedding and a few weeks later when I delivered the photos, Carolyn let me know that she was pregnant! WOOHOO!

Baby boy Finn is actually going to be making his entrance into the world tomorrow…so I thought it was the perfect time for this post. 🙂

It’s very possible that Skyler is a guy who loves his comics. 😀

If you’re curious, he’s reading Bone. 😀

Kristin and I know each other from way back in the day (our mommies were best friends!). She’s a number of years younger than me and, as my sister put it, “She’s been dating Bryan forever! Since I was 15!” It’s rare to see two people who match up as well as they do and it’s beautiful to see!

Bryan’s family, including his adorable grandparents, came all the way to Georgia from Missouri. The newly weds are out there visiting them now (hello, Missouri people!).  We couldn’t have asked for better weather on their wedding day. Look below to see a slew of happy faces!
