I am so excited to show you my favorite photos from Matt & Lucy’s charming downtown Thomasville wedding! And take note, brides, Lucy gave me the most extensive vendor list I have ever seen! I love all the personal touches they had throughout the day. And the bridesmaid dresses? I’m tempted to get one for a night out on the town (ya’ll know how I adore sparkles). I’m going to quit gushing and move on to the photos!

One of my favorite things of the day was that the lovebirds each wrote a letter to the other. It provided a time for them to sit and relax on their own but also to be with each other while preparing for the ceremony. Just look at those smiles!

Months back, Lucy and I met up for her bridal portraits at stunning Pebble Hill Plantation in Thomasville.

Grassroots has a special place in the heart of Thomasville weddings. Lucy’s sweet brother made a run down there for most of the wedding party (and me too!). Thanks, Luke!

Lucy was surrounded by a fantastic group of gals! And check out the beautiful purses she had monogrammed for each lady! And she did a special reveal for them too!

It’s absolutely lovely when couples display their parents and grandparents wedding photos as part of their own display. So very sweet.

All first dances should have smiles like this!

Matt & Lucy had a photo booth so friends and family could take home fun photos from their reception. Great idea and an absolute blast!

I love how much fun they had with the bouquet toss and garter toss. Watch out for those single guys though! So determined!

Kristin and I know each other from way back in the day (our mommies were best friends!). She’s a number of years younger than me and, as my sister put it, “She’s been dating Bryan forever! Since I was 15!” It’s rare to see two people who match up as well as they do and it’s beautiful to see!

Bryan’s family, including his adorable grandparents, came all the way to Georgia from Missouri. The newly weds are out there visiting them now (hello, Missouri people!).  We couldn’t have asked for better weather on their wedding day. Look below to see a slew of happy faces!

Dee & Dustin were wed under an oak tree on a family friend’s plantation in South Georgia. They were surrounded by those who love them and their alter included photos of family members who are no longer present but still very important to them both. Hay bales covered with family quilts and blankets were provided for guests, but this was a standing room only event that was overflowing with love and details. Never have I ever seen so many flowers at one wedding! The “saucey” favors were a hit among the guests and Dee made sure to add special touches everywhere she could. She even had 7 different types of cakes! Something for everyone! The band played late into the night and a joyous time was had by all.

But, as we all know, not everything goes according to plan. Although it had been bright and sunny the day before, the rains combined with the 5 miles of dirt road to travel caused a nearly 2 hour delay with the guests and ceremony. We had a heart-to-heart and decided to return to the plantation at a later date for the couple’s formal portraits. It’s exceptionally rare to find a truly amazing couple who are not just completely wildly madly in love, but willing to completely go with me on an idea. Without trust and vision, the photograph of them in the swamp, one of my favorite wedding photos from any wedding I’ve shot, would have never happened. I am lucky and blessed to have shared in their love before, during, and after their wedding.

I hope you enjoy viewing their photos – this is the largest photo post I’ve ever made from one wedding! There were just too many great ones (as if there’s such a thing). 😛

Updates:
Let my bride know her photos are up and she texted back with, “So good! I started crying.” WONDERFUL!

My photography from this wedding has been published by Style Me Pretty and  Thomasville Bridal Scene magazine (cover and center spread).

Remember Brittany & Jason? I photographed their lovely family just 6 days before their wedding (and still managed to have beautiful prints for them to show off at their wedding!). They decided to get married on his family property. You’ll see the golf carts a few times and I’ve never been so thankful for them in my life! We all had a ton of fun at this wedding in the woods. Congrats to Brittany + Jason!

I knew Rheannon was my kind of bride the first time we spoke on the phone. This gal is full of life and simply a joy to be around. Her hubby Clark is a swell fellow in his own right. Their ceremony was in the beautiful Christ Episcopal Church in Cordele, Georgia. They were surrounded by family and friends (and Clark’s darling little daughter). After the ceremony we ran off to her mother’s home on the river for a poolside brunch. Congrats and many blessings to the happy couple!

PS – All of my wedding collections now include an album credit. Chances are more of my blog posts will look like this one. Yep, I was so excited I went ahead and designed the album!
